I am a follower of heart–a lover of earth–a believer in growth–a seeker of truth–and a very lucky elder who has finally moved into both a physical locale and mental state where I can totally succumb to the urges of expression that have long scratched away for attention. I’m finding the process of exploration and creativity satisfying, enlightening, humbling and frustrating–and I’m loving it all the same.
I first wrote this five years ago…and a lot has changed in my life. Five years ago I said: “Currently I’m head over involved in cloth as a medium for unveiling that which is within. And more specifically discovering old cloth which can be re-purposed. I’m just beginning to delve into altering cloth through natural dyeing, utilizing plants in my local environment–those foraged and those cultivated such as indigo. To date, my most successful dyeing has resulted from indigo, black walnut, hibiscus, golden rod and onion skins. My name is Patricia.”
Today I say this. I am still Patricia! But my passion of the past few years has become eco printing…and there aren’t enough hours in the day to satisfy my exploration of this process!
Patricia – this is an exciting beginning! Thanks for listing me in your sidebar – I’ve just added you to mine.

Patricia, I just love your work. Your name isn’t here anywhere, why is that–did I miss it? People need to see the artist!

Hello Patricia from beautiful Victoria on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. I noticed you started following me on Instagram (I am @feelingthreads). My first name is Patricia also, but my parents called me Joan. I am wondering please, how you get such beautiful lavender and other backgrounds along with the various leaf imprints, without over-dyeing on the leaf prints??
